MECENER 2007 The project intends to work out an evaluation methodology of energy losses in the electrical systems caused by the elements that disturb the quality of electrical energy. Within the project there will be justified scientifically the losses due to such phenomena as harmonic disturbances, non-linear and unbalanced charge, tension variations, low power factor. Taking in account the nowadays development of regenerable sources, the project is going to take into consideration their impact on the energy quality from the electric systems they are connected to. There will be analyzed and evaluated the energy losses from the feeding installation with electric energy, from industrial consumers, public and rezidential buildings, as well as from other consumers. The founds are provided by Planul Național de Cercetare, Dezvoltare și Inovare II. During the first two stages, there will be studied and analized real reprezentative situations in which there are problems regarding the quality of electric energy. The purpose of this stage is to realize a synthetic picture regarding the clasification of electric systems in categories of problems caused by disturbance factors of energy’s quality. During the third stage, the consortium partners will evaluate and quantize the damages and losses from electric systems caused by the energy’s inappropriate quality. There will be analized the implications of the disturbance factors of electric energy’s quality in the energy losses and wil be determined the losses quantitatively as well as the damages over the electrical systems work. The fifth stage is dedicated to the elaboration and projecting of the solutions needed in reducing energy losses caused by electric energy inadequate quality. There will be realized a laboratory experimental model in order to study the solutions in reducing the losses due to factors of perturbance of energy’s quality. The final stage has as an objective the compilation of a guide-book on the implementation of the methology of evaluating the quality of electric energy and the reduction of losses.
